SummaryWhile we missed out on the big blizzard of 2009, we did get a little bit of snow from what was left of the system. I decided that it would be the perfect opportunity to try out the new camcorder (Canon HG21) and tripod. It’s unedited raw / stock footage so it may be a bit boring but a good experiment for me. I also took some photos as well. Locations included in the photos and video are near Kaufman Lake and Parkland College in Champaign, IL.

You were right by my apartment! i love snow & am thrilled that we finally received some.

Which apartment complex are you in? Yes, I was bummed that we missed the first 2 blizzards that nailed the rest of the midwest. Not that I want 2 feet of snow, but something like 4″ is nice to look at and not too treacherous.

Great photos Stan, I need to get some of mine uploaded to Flickr. Maybe I’ll get out and take some shots during the big snowstorm coming tomorrow :)

I live across from Kaufman Lake, in the Ginger Creek complex. Sorry, I forgot I posted here! This rain is depressing me – we need more snow! I love winter & can’t abide being cheated out of it (unless, of course, we get some high risk storms, like New Year’s Day a few years ago).
